Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended with an upward trend on the second day of the week, on Monday.
On this day, the share price of most companies and the volume of traded transactions have increased, and DSEX, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Market (DSE), increased by 66.23 points. The DSE witnessed a turnover of Tk 1177.7 crore on Monday.
According to the last update, DSE on Monday, the broad index ended the day trading at 5455.4 points, up 1.2%. The DSE Shariah index increased by 9.99 points to 1189.51 points, and the DSE-30 index rose by 27.16 points to 2128.76 points.
Among the 396 companies’ shares and mutual funds that traded on the day, 238 advanced, 114 declined, and 44 remained unchanged.
DSE warns investors against fraud through fake WhatsApp groups
A total of Tk 1177.7 crore was traded in DSE on Monday, which was Tk 1200.26 crore on the previous day (Sunday).
On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) overall index CASPI decreased by 11.34 points to 1160.95 points.
234 companies participated in the transaction on CSE. Among these, the prices of 145 companies increased, 60 decreased, and 29 remained unchanged on Monday. Shares and units worth Tk50.45 crore were traded.
