Mumbai Police will provide Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan with Y+ security protection after the actor complained about receiving death threats following the success of “Pathaan” and “Jawan”.
Shah Rukh will be followed by six armed security men round the clock under the Y+ security protection. Previously, the popular actor was escorted by two security guards, reports NDTV.

The actor recently wrote to the Maharashtra state government, alerting them that he was receiving death threats following the release of two blockbusters in a row. The Maharashtra government then opted to beef up the security for the renowned actor, according to police.
Following threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, actor Salman Khan was given Y+ security protection last year, said the report.

Shah Rukh Khan has already had run-ins with the Mumbai underworld and is renowned for standing up to threats, it added.
Recently, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta lauded “Jawan” and Shah Rukh for his tenacity to overcome hurdles, including threats from gangsters, on social media.
