Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, returned for its 17th season on August 11 and is set to air a special Independence Day episode featuring top Indian Armed Forces officers.
In a promo by Sony TV, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force, and Commander Prerna Deosthalee of the Indian Navy were shown sharing insights on Operation Sindoor, a series of targeted strikes on nine Pakistani terror camps carried out on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said the operation was necessary to respond to Pakistan’s repeated provocations. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh added that the operation was executed swiftly, between 1:05 am and 1:30 am, while Commander Prerna Deosthalee confirmed all targets were destroyed without harming civilians. Colonel Sofiya described it as a reflection of “a new India, with a new mindset.”
The episode will air on August 15 at 9 pm and will also stream on Sony LIV.
