A total of 295 inmates across the country cast their votes through postal ballots on Sunday.
With this, the total number of inmates who have voted through postal ballots over the past six days rose to 4,833, as part of the ongoing voting process ahead of the National Parliamentary election scheduled for February 12, prison officials said.
According to official data, 1,521 inmates cast their votes on February 3, followed by 988 on February 4. On February 5, the number stood at 1,138, while 420 inmates voted on February 6.
On February 7, a total of 471 inmates participated in the postal ballot voting. Of them, 448 were male and 23 were female inmates. Among the voters that day, 16 were classified as special inmates.
