The Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has reaffirmed its global leadership in education, achieving top international rankings and spearheading research that drives innovation in teaching and learning.
Global Recognition
The Faculty ranked #20 in Education (QS World University Rankings 2025), #11 in Education Studies (Times Higher Education 2025), and an impressive 2nd worldwide in Education & Educational Research (U.S. News & World Report 2025-2026). Thirteen faculty members were also named among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University in 2024.
Through its four departments—Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration and Policy, Educational Psychology, and Sports Science and Physical Education—the Faculty offers doctoral, master’s and postgraduate diploma programmes, equipping future educators to meet evolving societal needs.

Pioneering Research
The Faculty’s Centre for University and School Partnership (CUSP) collaborates with over 2,000 schools and has completed 45+ projects in areas including small class teaching, gifted education, kindergarten curriculum, and children’s financial literacy.
Among its standout initiatives is the Robot for Autism Behavioral Intervention (RABI) project, led by Professor Catherine So, which uses robotics to aid autism diagnosis and therapy. Since 2020, RABI has supported over 2,500 autistic children and adolescents, earning the Silver Award in the Access, Diversity, and Inclusion category at the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2024.
Global Impact
With over 2,600 students, the Faculty continues to attract diverse international talent. Philippine graduate Dr. Ma. Jenina Nalipay praised CUHK’s “holistic approach to student development and excellent supervision,” which enriched her research training and prepared her for global success.
