Bangladesh completed their assignments in the four-team Group H of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers in empty hand losing to the Philippines by O-1 goal in the last match at the Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on Tuesday.
With the day's frustrating defeat, Bangladesh finished 4th and last in the four-team group losing all the three matches.

The Philippines, which struggling at the bottom of the group behind Bangladesh from very beginning, advanced to the 3rd place with three points three matches for their maiden and creditable victory over Bangladesh
Hosts Thailand and Malaysia, which dominated the Group H with all-win run securing full six points from two straight matches, due to face each other Tuesday evening to decide the group champions.

The day' s match between two lowly teams of Group H was locked in a goalless position in the first half.
Gavin Muens scored the match winning goal for the Philippines in the 56th minute of the match from a penalty (1-0).
Earlier, Bangladesh was eliminated from the meet after suffering two consecutive defeats against stronger Malaysia and hosts Thailand.

Bangladesh started their campaign in the AFC U-23 Qualifiers with 0-2 goals defeat against Malaysia in the opening Group match on Wednesday and suffered a 0-3 defeat against Thailand in the 2nd match on Saturday at the same venue .
