Dhaka, July 26 (UNB)– Youthfull Bangladesh National Hockey team, now touring South Korea as a part of their preparation for the next-month’s Asian Games in Indonesia, conceded a narrow 2-3 goal defeat against Asian giant and hosts South Korea in their first preparatory match on Thursday afternoon.
After a goalless result in first of the four-quarter 60 minute affairs, Korea took
2-0 lead in the 2nd quarter, converting two penalty conrers.
In the 3rd quarter, Milon Hossain scored the first goal to pull the Bangladesh margin one back (2-1), but their joy were very short lived as Korea scored one more goal in the 11th minute of the quarter (3-1).
Bangladeshi famed forward Rasul Mahmud Jimi reduced the margin scoring a field goal in the 4th and last quarter of the match to settle for 3-2 goal defeat in the match.
