In the day’s quarterfinal matches of men’s doubles, Bangladeshi pair Md Salman Khan and Sibgat Ullah eliminated from the meet losing to Thai partners Pirad Thangsririrapihan and Apichasite by 14-21, 15-21 sets and another local pair Minhaj Mohammed and Mozammel Hossain also eliminated losing to Malaysian pair Chang Thanji and Chuang Hon Zihan by 9-21, 16-21 sets.
In the mixed double events, Bangladeshi pair Shuvo Khandakar and Brishty Khatun were eliminated from the meet losing to the Thai partners Pirad Thangsririrapihan and S Minkochuya by 21-18, 21-14 sets in their quarterfinal match.
Earlier, Elina Sultana and Shapla Akhter were also eliminated from the women’s doubles meet losing Indian partners Manisha K and Ruthaparma Panda by 4-21 and 11-21 sets while Urmi Akhter and her partner Dulali Halder were forced to withdraw from women’s doubles due to Urmi’s injury on Thursday.
In the men’s doubles, Gourab Singh and Abdul Hamid Lokman were eliminated from the race losing Indian partners M R Arjun and Dhruba Kapali by 4-21 and 11-21 sets on the same day.
In the mixed doubles, Gourab Singh and Urmi Akhter were also eliminated from the meet losing to Thai partners by 12-21, 13-21 points while another Bangladeshi pair Al Amin Jumma and Dulali Halder made their early exit losing to another Thai partners by 14-21 and 8-21 points on Wednesday.
