Abahani batted first and scored 150 for 7 after winning the toss. Brothers Union managed to score 125 for 7 in 20 overs. 

Sabbir Rahman, the right-handed national star, struck a fifty for Abahani, which lost two wickets in seven runs. In the third wicket stand, Sabbir joined captain Mosaddek Hossain Saikat to add 52 runs on the board. 

Mosaddek fell for 23. Sabbir and Jahid Javed added 58 runs in the fourth wicket partnership. Javed scored 44 and Sabbir finished adding 58 to his name with five fours and two sixes. 

Mehedi Hasan and Rony Hossain bagged two wickets each for Brothers while Habibur Rahman, Shekhawat Hossain and Mohammad Shahzada took one wicket each. 

During the chase, only three Brothers batsmen – Mizanur Rahman (30), Yasir Ali (41) and Sharifullah (31) – reached double digits.

Left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam Apu took three wickets for Abahani while Sabbir Rahman took two. Mosaddek and Tapos Ghosh took one wicket each. 

Sabbir was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance.
