Bangladesh's first warm-up match against the USA was cancelled due to inclement weather at the venue in Dallas, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced in a statement on Tuesday evening.
Ahead of the main matches in the T20I World Cup in the USA and West Indies, Bangladesh were scheduled to play two warm-up matches— one against the USA and another against India. The second match will take place on June 1 in New York.
Bangladesh's first match in the World Cup is on June 8 in Dallas against Sri Lanka. The Tigers will play their second match in New York against South Africa.
Ahead of the official warm-up matches, Bangladesh played a three-match T20I series against the hosts in Houston, suffering shocking defeats in two matches before bouncing back in the last match with a record-breaking win.
After the first two matches in the USA, Bangladesh will travel to the West Indies for other matches of the first phase of the World Cup.
