In an unprecedented gathering, journalists from 23 countries converged on Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of northern China, on Tuesday to explore some of the region’s most remarkable destinations, showcasing its blend of rich cultural heritage and cutting-edge digital advancements.

The journey commenced at the Inner Mongolia Data Exchange Center, the region's exclusive platform for data transactions. Established to enhance the development of the digital economy, the center serves as a vital infrastructure project, streamlining data trading and circulation.

Journalists learned about the center's diverse offerings, including data transaction registration, automated matching for data products, and technological solutions aimed at fostering a robust data ecosystem.

The center aims to extend its influence beyond Inner Mongolia to serve the entire nation, ensuring a secure and efficient marketplace for data trading.

Next on the itinerary was the Yungu Exploration Port, a striking digital exhibition space nestled in the heart of the Data Town within Horinger New Area. Covering an expansive 8,000 square meters, this futuristic port highlights various sectors, including aerospace and national defense through immersive experiences and digital tourism.

Attendees were captivated by how the intersection of culture and technology is creating dynamic educational opportunities and enriching consumer experiences.

The signature projects of "cultural tourism + digital technology" are redefining how visitors engage with cultural products.

Following this, journalists visited M-Grass which offers high-quality products and innovative technical services for ecological restoration and grass seed production.

The company manages over 30 scientific research platforms at the national and provincial (or autonomous region-level), including the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Wind Erosion and Desertification Control under the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) and the Key Laboratory for Cultivated Land Fertility Protection and Improvement in Agro-Pastoral Ecotones under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. 

In partnership with more than 70 research institutes, universities, and enterprises, M-Grass has co-founded the National Grass Industry Innovation Center.

As the tour progressed, journalists marveled at the stunning Hohhot International Sculpture Park, designed around the theme of "Northern Frontier Culture." With an impressive 37,000 square meters of green coverage, the park seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings.

The unique architectural style, featuring sloped roofs that resemble an eagle in flight, represents a harmonious blend of art and nature, emblematic of Inner Mongolia’s cultural ethos.

Further emphasizing the region’s natural beauty, the journalists ventured to the Chilechuan Grassland, often referred to as the "Back Garden" of the “Blue City.”

This expansive grassland, ideal for hosting large-scale events, served as the backdrop for the 70th anniversary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s founding.

Here, attendees savored the breathtaking landscapes, explored the cultural significance of the grassland, and toured the striking Hohhotara Conference Center, notable for being housed within China's largest yurt.

This event not only highlighted Inner Mongolia's technological advancements and cultural richness but also fostered international dialogue.

As representatives from across the globe witnessed the region's unique blend of tradition and innovation, the day culminated in the promise of ongoing collaboration and understanding.
