Sri Lanka welcomed over 500,000 tourists as of March 2, local media reported on Monday.
According to the report, the country received 485,102 visitors in January and February, marking the highest-ever arrivals for these months. With around 18,000 additional tourists on March 1 and 2, the total surpassed the half-million milestone.
The Central Bank earlier estimated Sri Lanka’s tourism earnings for January 2025 at 401 million U.S. dollars
