Turkish airline Atlasglobal officially filed for bankruptcy, Turkey's Directorate General of Civil Aviation announced on Twitter on Friday.
The airline has taken the bankruptcy decision as it couldn't continue its operation, the post said, noting that all of its flights were stopped.
Established in 2001, Atlasglobal, also known as Atlasjet, was providing scheduled domestic and international flights for both passengers and cargo.
Experiencing a financial crisis, the company had decided to stop its flights in November until December 21, saying, "We temporarily stopped all flights to provide the necessary configuration and improvement in our cash flow."
