Mamun-ur-Rashid, officer-in-charge of Kachakata Police Station, said the workers were sent to official quarantine at Kachakata High School on April 14.
They released the workers after eight days on Tuesday afternoon as per the directive of Nageshwari UNO Nur Ahmed Masum.
Kachakata Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Awal said most of the workers fled from the quarantine. So they released all of them after discussion with the UNO.
But the OC said none of the workers fled.
Nageshwari Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Abu Bakkar Siddique said none of the workers were suffering from fever, cough, or cold.
“So they were released after a discussion with the UNO and the chairman,” he said.

Civil Surgeon Dr Habibur Rahman said he got information in this connection. “The workers need to complete their 14-day quarantine as they came from Keraniganj,” he said.
They were asked to stay in home quarantine for the next eight days, the official added.
