The BNP leader was taken to the hospital around 9:30am with high fever and coughing problem his personal assistant Arifur Rahman Tushar told UNB.
He said Rizvi tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday and then went into self-isolation at his Mohammadpur house.
Tushar said Rizvi has been suffering from fever and slight coughing problem for the last a few days. “He was admitted to the hospital as his condition worsened.”
Rizvi’s family urged all to pray for his speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, BNP standing committee members Selima Rahman and vice chairman Ruhul Alam Chowdhury have also been receiving treatment at United Hospital and Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka respectively with coronavirus infection.
