DSCC Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed will conduct the mobile court drive from December 1 to 20 – excluding Friday-Saturday and holidays.
Dhaka South's Chief Estate Officer Rasel Sabrin said this on Monday.
Many DSCC residents are slowing down the regular movement of people and causing traffic jam by placing and storing building materials on roads, the DSCC chief estate officer also said.
"So, we will conduct a drive to implement the directives of the High Court."
Actions will be taken against the construction material owners, including handing out fines and prison sentences. Also, there will be an "on the spot auction" of the illegally stored materials, Rasel said.
Many building owners in the city store bricks, sand, gravel chips, and other materials on not just interior roads but also on major ones. They also dump construction materials on the side of the street.
