Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir will hold a protest march in Dhaka against Awami League and sit-in programs at 14 locations across the capital on Thursday.
Besides, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami plans to stage demonstrations nationwide against what it describes as “countrywide killings and acts of terrorism” by the fallen Awami League.
In a Facebook post, Abu Shadik Kayem, vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), said the Dhaka Metropolitan unit of Chhatra Shibir will start its protest march from Dhaka College to the Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University at 7:00 am.

Meanwhile, a man was injured following cocktail explosions at Dhaka University’s Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) on Wednesday night. The blasts, reported around 9:20 pm, triggered a protest procession by an angry crowd.
Law enforcement authorities have strengthened security in the capital following recent incidents of cocktail explosions and vehicle arson.
