A 35-year-old construction worker died after falling from the third floor of an under-construction building in the capital’s Mohammadpur area on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md Imran, son of Md Zillur Rahman of Bagmara village under Rajbari Sadar upazila in Rajbari district. He worked as a construction laborer.
The incident occurred around 3:00pm while Imran was working on the third floor of a college building on Road No. 3 in the Dhaka Udyan area under Mohammadpur Police Station.

According to eyewitnesses, he fell accidentally while on duty and sustained critical injuries.
His co-worker, Md Kamal Gazi, rushed him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 4:30pm, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Confirming the matter, Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
An unnatural death case is likely to be filed in connection with the incident, police sources added.
