A fire damaged a truck parked on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Sitakunda on Friday .
The incident happened at Tobacco Gate area of Bhatiari union of the upazila in the early hours of Friday.
After visiting the spot, Faujdarhat Police Outpost In-charge Md Masud Rana said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

“There was no complaint from the owner either. Details will be known after investigation,” said the police official.
According to locals, the truck, owned by Jamal Uddin, was placed in front of the garage on the side of the highway in the Tobacco Gate area around 9 pm.

Rubel, a night guard, saw the truck on fire in the early hours of the morning.
"I was on guard duty at the garage. Around 3.30 am, I suddenly saw the truck on fire. But no one was seen around at that time so I didn't know how the fire started. Then I called a few people and came forward to douse the fire,” said Rubel.
