The frequency of two passenger trains - Maitree Express and Bandhan Express - has been increased to enhance people-to-people contacts between Bangladesh and India.
Now, Maitree Express will be avail for five days in a week instead of four days while Bandhan Express will be available for two days instead of one day in a week, said the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The additional service of Maitree Express will commence on February 11 from Dhaka and return on February 12 from Kolkata.
The additional trip of Bandhan Express will commence on February 16 from Kolkata and return the same day from Khulna.
