A Dhaka court on Monday placed Haji Mohammad Salim, former lawmaker of Awami League (Dhaka-7) and his son Solaiman Salim on a four-day remand in a murder case filed with Shahbagh Police Station.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhad Ishtiak passed the order when police produced them before the court with ten-day remand prayer.
The court also showed Nasir Uddin Sathi, chairman of private television channel MyTV and his son Youtuber Towhid Afridi, arrested in a murder case filed with Badda Police Station.
It also showed Golam Kibria Tipu, a Jatiya Party leader, arrested in another murder case filed with Sher-e-Bangla-Nagar Police Station, said public prosecutor Omar Faruk Farooki.
All of them were sent to jail.
