A parliamentary probe body visited Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Wednesday, in a bid to investigate alleged irregularities at the hospital.
The six-member body sat in a closed-session with the managing committee after they reached the hospital around 4pm. Later, they inspected different machineries of the hospital.
The committee, with former health minister AFM Ruhal Haque as chief, was formed recently to look into allegations of irregularities related to procurement of medical equipment and machinery for the hospital from 2012 to 2016.
Md Mustafizur Rahman, assistant director of FMCH, said the body started their investigation on Wednesday.
“The investigation will continue till Thursday noon. We’re providing them with necessary assistance,” he added.
