A parliamentary probe body visited Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Wednesday, in a bid to investigate alleged irregularities at the hospital.

A court here on Tuesday sent two accused to jail after rejecting their bail petitions in a case filed in connection with Faridpur Medical College Hospital (FMCH) curtain purchase scam.

A woman was killed in a fire that broke out at her home at Azad Molla Bari in Charmamudpur in Sadar upazila on Saturday night while 10 shops were gutted in another fire in Char Bhadrasan upazila.
