A man died after being crushed under the wheels of a train on his way home after casting vote in the 12th parliamentary election Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali of Ramu upazila.

Ramu Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Taher Dewan confirmed the matter, saying that the man met the tragic end when he was returning home from a polling centre after casting vote as he was crushed under the wheels of Chattogram-bound ‘Cox’s Bazar Express’ train.

The accident happened just a few yards off the Ramu Railway Station, he added.
