Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 as a low-pressure area has been formed over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coast at 6 am on Wednesday.
It is likely to intensify further and under its influence, steep pressure gradient lies over Noth bay and gusty or squally weather may affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said a Met office bulletin.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
