Six people including two brothers of two families each were killed and three people injured in a collision between a microbus and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj district on Sunday.
The deceased were autorickshaw driver Rashedul Islam,22 of Raiganj upazila, two sons of Ramnaj Ali of Tarash upazila’s Vatra village-Nuruzzaman, 52 and Tareq Rahman,55, two brothers-Rezaul Karim,60 and Abdul Majid,50, of the same village and Jahangir Alam,56, son of late Mohiuddin of the same village.
The collision occurred between the two vehicles on Sirajgamj-Nalka regional highway around 12 pm, leaving two passengers of the autorickshaw dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Kamarkhand police station Rezaul Karim.
The injured were rushed to M Mansur Ali Medical College Hospital where four people died, he added.
