“Not a single penny was allotted or demanded for making the list of Razakars. So, there’s no question of spending money. It’s fictitious and confusing information,” he said.
The minister also urged all concerned to refrain from disseminating such false information, said a handout.
He also warned that if those involved in disseminating the false information do not render apology and withdraw the reports within December 25, legal actions will be taken against them.
Reports were published in different media on Thursday that Tk 60 crore was spent for making the list of Razakars and the news also spread on social media platforms.
On December 15, the government published a list of 10,789 Razakars.
Amid huge criticisms over having the names of some freedom fighters in it, the ministry on Wednesday put the list on hold.
