Police recovered the body of an auto-rickshaw driver from Adharrmanik area of Laxmipur Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon, who went missing from the area on November 7.
The deceased was identified as Murad, son of Azad of Adharmanik village in Tewariganj union of the same upazila.

According to family members, Murad left home with his auto-rickshaw on Tuesday evening. Local Abul Kalam called him and took him to the Andharmanik area. Kalam was accompanied by his friend Sajeeb.
As Murad's mobile phone switched off after 11pm, his family members searched for him in every possible place.
Mosleh Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC0 of Sadar Police Station, said a general diary (GD) was filed on November 8 regarding Murad's disappearance.

Later on Saturday, locals spotted Murad's body in a hut and informed the police.
On information, police recovered the body around 2pm, added the OC.
The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
