A 14-year-old boy died in a hospital after being attacked by a local teen gang in Sherpur on Saturday.
Sajib Mia, son of farmer Farhan Mia from Bibirchar village in Talki Union of Nokla Upazila, died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital at 3:30 pm.
He had been fighting for his life for four days following a brutal knife attack.

The attack happened on the night of March 10 when Sajib was lured by Rifat, son of Riaz Uddin, and three or four others from the same village.
Locals said the attackers stabbed him in multiple places and severely cut his liver, causing critical abdominal injuries.
Residents rescued Sajib from the Bypass area of Nakla Upazila and took him to Nokla Upazila Health Complex.
Doctors immediately referred him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU.
Locals said the attackers were members of a teen gang. A mobile phone dispute reportedly triggered the attack.
Sherpur police and officials visited the scene and spoke with the victim’s family and villagers on March 11, but no arrests have been made so far.
Ripon Chandra Gop, officer-in-charge of Nokla Police Station, said, “A case has been filed and the suspects will be arrested soon.”
