A man was killed and 35 were injured in a clash between protesters and Awami League leaders and activists at Talaimari in Rajshahi district town on Monday during the nationwide indefinite curfew.
A group of protesters gathered at Talaimari intersection around 11 am.
Later, they tried to march towards Shaheb Bazar. When the protesters reached Sagarpara Kalpana Cinema Hall, a chase and counter-chase took place among Awami League activists and protesters.
Police also lobbed tear gas shells and fired sound grenades during the clash.
Later, a man was found dead near Shah Makhdum College.
Dr Shankar Dey Biswas, duty officer of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, said 30-45 people with bullet injuries were admitted to the hospital.
