An inmate of Dhaka Central Jail died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Miaz Uddin, 60, son of Binod Ali.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, said Miaz Uddin fell sick at the jail on Friday night and he was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital by the prison authorities.
Miaz died while undergoing treatment at no 200 ward of the hospital.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
