Two police constables have been accused of beating a school teacher at Bagatipara upazila in Natore.
Badal Uddin, an assistant teacher of Rohimanpur Government Primary School in the upazila, was returning home on a motorcycle around 4pm on Sunday.
On the way, three plainclothes men stopped him in Khidra Malanchi area.

Two people, including one Sajib Khan, introduced themselves as police constables and harassed the teacher in various ways.
At one stage, the teacher was handcuffed and beaten with an iron pipe on both his legs.
Later, locals rescued the teacher and took him to Natore Sadar Hospital.

On information, Additional Superintendent of Police of Sadar Circle Mahmuda Sharmin Neli went to the hospital and talked to the injured teacher.
Action will be taken after investigation, the police official said.
The injured teacher suspects that the incident may have occurred due to a dispute with the school's managing committee.
