The overall situation of the industrial sector, including readymade garments factories, is more satisfactory than ever as all the workers have already been paid salaries and bonuses.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment revealed the information in a statement on Thursday.
Relentless efforts of field level officials of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments and Department of Labour contributed to the achievement, it added.
State Minister for Labour and Employment Munnujan Sufian thanked the factory owners for fulfilling their promise by paying salaries and bonuses to the workers in time.
She also urged the workers not to leave their work-stations for their own safety amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
KM Abdus Salam, secretary to the Labour and Employment Ministry, said 23 crisis management committees with participation of the stakeholders have worked across the country to keep the labour situation peaceful.
Shivnath Roy, inspector general of the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, urged the people not to employ children in hazardous activities like transportation, storage and processing of leather.
