At least ten houses were gutted in a fire that broke out at Abdar village in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district on Tuesday.
Md Nurul Karim, inspector of Sreepur Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire broke out at a tin-shed house in the morning and engulfed the adjoining houses.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire after an hour of frantic effort.
However, no casualty was reported in the fire and the cause of the fire will be known after an investigation.
