Dhaka, Nov 14 (UNB) – The rail communication of Dhaka with other parts of the country was disrupted for nearly five and half hours on Wednesday morning following the derailment of three bogies of a goods-laden train at Tejgaon Rail Station in the city.
Three bogies of a Chattogram-bound goods-laden train from Dhaka veered off the tracks around 6:30 am, halting train movement, said Yeasir Arafat, officer-in-charge of Kamalapur Rail Station.
However, the train services from Dhaka to other parts of the country and vice versa were kept normal using an alternative route, he added.
On information, a relief train went to the spot and cleared the rail tracks around 12 pm to resume the service, said Yeasir Arafat.
