The slit-throat body of a 30-year-old woman was recovered from an eggplant field in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga a day after she and her brother were abducted by some miscreants from their house Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Mim Khatun alias Marjina, daughter of late Arman Ali of Mohammadpur village under Darshana municipality of the upazila, and her injured brother was Alamgir Hossain, 35.

Marjina used to live with her husband Suruj Miah at her father’s house since the marriage.
Alamgir said his second wife filed a general diary against her sister Marjina as he beat her up.
Local ward councillor Enamul Kabir said miscreants picked the duo from their house around 8 pm. Their mother informed police of the matter.
Locals spotted the body lying in the eggplant field in the morning.
Alamgir, who was rescued from the cropland, said the miscreants dranged him out from in front of the house on Saturday night.

Hearing screams, his sister rushed in to save him but the miscreants picked up both of them, he said, adding that the miscreants beat him after tying his legs and hands.
Darshana Police Station's officer-in-charge Biplob Kumar Saha police area working to unveil the mystery behind the murder.

The body was sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy and a legal process was underway to file a case in this connection.
