Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Beijing on Wednesday for Dhaka, wrapping up her three-day official visit to China.
A special flight of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the PM and her entourage members departed Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 10:05 pm (local time) on Wednesday.
The flight is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early hours of Thursday 1am (Bangladesh time).
During the visit the Bangladesh prime minister met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and held a bilateral meeting with her Chinese counterpart Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People on Wednesday.
Xi-Hasina meeting: China to cooperate with Bangladesh in grants and loans
Following the delegation level bilateral meeting in the morning Bangladesh and China signed and renewed some 21 cooperation documents, mostly MoUs, eyeing stronger development and economic cooperation between the two Asian countries.
Besides, Bangladesh and China announced seven outcomes, including the conclusion of joint feasibility study on Bangladesh-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
PM Hasina joined a welcome banquet (lunch) hosted by the Chinese premier at the same venue.
Earlier on her arrival at the Great Hall of the People in the morning, Sheikh Hasina was received by Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and was given a warm reception.
On Tuesday, the Bangladesh PM joined a summit on Trade, Business and Investment Opportunities between Bangladesh and China at the China World Summit Wing, Shangri-La Circle, Beijing, China.
She had separate meetings with Chairman of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning and President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun on the same day.
The prime minister also placed a wreath at the Monument in Tiananmen Square on Tuesday to pay tribute to the Chinese heroes.

On Monday afternoon, Hasina arrived in Beijing on an official visit at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart.
Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina last visited Beijing in July, 2019. She also visited China on multiple prior occasions.
In October 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Bangladesh when the relationship between the two countries had reached a strategic partnership.
