A direct flight of Air China on the Dhaka-Beijing-Dhaka was inaugurated on Wednesday by Civil Aviation and Tourism Muhammad Minister Faruk Khan.
“The direct flight from Dhaka to Beijing will add a new dimension to trade expansion between the two countries,” Faruk Khan said at the inauguration event at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

“This flight is a testament to the friendship, cooperation, development, and increasing connectivity between Bangladesh and China. As a result of this flight, the people of our country, businessmen, and students will be able to travel directly to Beijing. The benefits will also be seen in tourism and other business sectors,” said the minister.
Currently there are direct flights to Kunming and Guangzhou in China. Today the direct flight of Air China from Dhaka to Beijing has been inaugurated. On July 15, a flight of China Southern Airlines will be inaugurated on the same route. In the future, direct flights from Dhaka to more new destinations in China will be inaugurated. Connectivity will increase further, Farul also said.

Chairman of the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority Air Commodore Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain Md Kamrul Islam, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh Liu Yuan, Chairman of the Arving Group H V M Lutfor Rahman, and Air China's Country Manager An Ming were present at the time, among others.
