Singer and actress Sabrina Ehsan Porshi tied the knot with Hamim Niloy.

Porshi shared the news of her marriage in her Facebook post on Sunday.

“I thought of sharing the happy news with beautiful pictures during the wedding ceremony! However, since many journalist friends are inquiring and calling, I am sharing it now out of respect for all of you,” Porshi wrote in her facebook post.

“My life partner’s name is Hamim Niloy. We first met 15 years ago during the ‘Khude Gaanraj’ competition. However, there was no romantic relationship between us. Marriage, like birth and death, is in Allah’s hands, and by fate, we came into each other’s lives. It was a completely family-driven decision,” she wrote.

“On March 4, 2024, Niloy briefly returned to Bangladesh from the United States. During that time, with the consent of both families, our ‘Akad’ ceremony was completed. Since we live on opposite sides of the world and considering the love and expectations of our family, friends, and well-wishers, we wanted to hold a formal event to celebrate this joyous occasion. However, as the news has already spread, I feel a bit embarrassed but also happy,” she added.

“If all goes well, Niloy is expected to return to the country very soon. Based on discussions between both families, a formal wedding ceremony will be arranged. Until then, please keep me in your prayers, blessings, and love,” she said.

Porshi gained fame through Channel i’s reality show ‘Khude Gaanraj’.

Sixteen years have passed since her debut and she has been actively pursuing her music career.

She is busy with stage shows and regularly releasing new songs.
