BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Tuesday returned home from Singapore after receiving treatment for brain tumour for two months and 10 days.
Mosharraf, along with Bilkis Akhter Hossain, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 6:40pm, said BNP chairperson's media wing member Shamsuddin Didar.

Mosharraf, the 76-year-old former minister, went to Singapore on June 27 for better treatment as he was seriously ill.
He was diagnosed with a brain tumour while undergoing treatment at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Talking to UNB around 8 pm on Tuesday, Khandaker Maruf Hossain, the BNP leader’s younger son, said sphenoid wing meningiomas were detected outside his father’s brain.
Considering his age, Maruf said, doctors in Singapore gave his father upfront radiotherapy to manage the adverse impacts of the tumour.
He said doctors also advised Dr Mosharraf to stay on bed rest for eight weeks.

On June 18, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital after suffering a stroke. He received treatment there for eight days.
On the advice of Evercare Hospital doctors, the BNP leader went to Singapore National Hospital for treatment.
