BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas has been granted bail in six out of nine separate cases filed at Paltan and Ramna model police stations.
He has submitted bail applications for three remaining cases.

Additionally, Jahir Uddin Swapan, the coordinator of the BNP Media Cell, has also been granted bail in two distinct cases filed at Paltan and Ramna model police stations.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate M Sultan Sohag, issued the orders on Monday after concluding the hearings.

Among the five cases in the Paltan Police Station, bail orders were issued for four, while in the Ramna Police Station; two out of four cases received bail orders from the court.
Syed Jounul Abedin Mejbah, representing Mirza Abbas, presented the bail application, facing opposition from the state prosecutor. The court kept the orders pending after hearing arguments from both sides and later issued the orders.

Mirza Abbas's lawyer, Mohi Uddin, confirmed this information.
Earlier, on February 1, Mirza Abbas had applied for bail in the nine cases filed against him. The court had approved his arrest in these cases on February 1.
On the night of October 31, Mirza Abbas was arrested by the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police from Shahidbagh, Dhaka. Since then, he has been in custody.
