BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday called on the government to take immediate action to save Khaleda Zia or they will be held accountable.
"She's a woman and a former prime minister. Take action now to save her without delay. Otherwise, the government will have to take responsibility," he said.

The BNP leader said this after visiting BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia along with the party's health affairs secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam at Evercare Hospital on Monday afternoon.
Coming out of the hospital, Rizvi said, "Khaleda Zia's health condition is critical. The doctors are asking to take her abroad because after doing their best here, they realise that she needs better treatment."

At that time, Rizvi sought prayers from the countrymen for Khaleda Zia's recovery.
Confirming the matter, Dr Rafiqul Islam said that her condition has been very bad in the last few days. She is under the doctor's special observation.
