Director James Gunn received a warm ovation from fans at Comic-Con on Saturday, as the San Diego event showcased major upcoming film and TV projects, including his latest work “Superman” and previews of “Coyote vs. Acme” and new “Star Trek” ventures.
Gunn, who now leads Warner Bros.' DC Comics film universe, appeared during a panel for Season 2 of HBO's Peacemaker, where John Cena—dressed in full costume—entertained fans. It was Gunn’s first public appearance since Superman grossed over $200 million in North America. “Today has been the most fun I’ve had in a year,” he told the audience.
