The 2021-22 football season will kick off with the Swadhinata Cup, scheduled to be held in the last week of next November, followed by Federation Cup.
The most prestigious competition, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), is scheduled to begin next January.
The decision was taken at an adjourned executive committee meeting of Bangladesh Football Federation held on Thursday at the BFF conference room with its president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin in the chair.
The BFF meeting also decided to hold its annual general meeting on October 30, 2021.
The meeting also decided to form a three-member committee to amend/change the BFF constitution as per FIFA guidelines and the committee will give final shape of the constitution after maintaining a close touch with world football’s governing body.
Dhaka Metropolis Football League committee will arrange two leagues from next season in place of the three leagues—first, 2nd and 3rd division.
