Dhaka, July 5 (UNB) – Bangladesh have become the second runners-up in the Dhaka Bank FIBA U-16 Asian Basketball Championship (SABA Qualifiers 2019).
The two-day competition, organised by Bangladesh Basketball Federation at Dhanmondi Wooden Floor Gymnasium, ended on Friday.
India emerged as the unbeaten champion while Sri Lanka became the first runners-up.
In the day’s matches, hosts Bangladesh defeated Nepal 56-55 after dominating the first half by 30-26 points while India beat Sri Lanka by 72-41 points after dominating the first half by 42-18 points.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan distributed prizes as the chief guest at the closing function.
