Anamul Haque Bijoy will lead the Bangladesh A side in the upcoming four-day series against Pakistan A, while Towhid Hridoy has been named captain for the one-day series.
The Bangladesh A side will play two four-day and three one-day matches in Pakistan.
The 31-year-old Bijoy, who has appeared in just five Tests for Bangladesh, will bring his extensive first-class experience to the captaincy role. Bijoy boasts an impressive first-class batting average of 44, providing a strong foundation for the team in the longer format.
Towhid Hridoy, aged 23, has been a regular in Bangladesh's top order in white-ball cricket since his debut in March 2023. With 3024 runs in List A matches and a robust average of 48, Hridoy's leadership in the one-day series is expected to bolster the team's performance.
The Bangladesh A team is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on August 6. The tour will kick off with the first four-day match against Pakistan A, taking place from August 10 to 13 in Islamabad. The second four-day match will also be held in Islamabad, from August 17 to 20.
Following these, the one-day series will begin, with the first match on August 23, the second on August 25, and the final match on August 27, all of which will also be played in Islamabad.
