Defending champions Bashundhara Kings consolidated their place in the 12-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football 2021-22, beating Dhaka Mohammedan 2-0 Saturday.
At the Bashundhara Sports Complex, local forward Sumon Reza scored first for the Kings in the 11th minute (1-0).
The Kings' Brazil striker and captain Robson Robinson netted one more goal in the 19th minute (2-0).
Mohammedan's Anik Hossain was shown a red card as he had received a second yellow card in the 47th minute.

With Saturday's victory, star-studded Kings earned their sixth consecutive win in the league to hold onto their lead, securing 18 points from seven matches.
Dhaka Mohammedan remained at the sixth spot with nine points from the same number of matches.
Six-time champions and second-placed Dhaka Abahani secured 13 points from six matches.
