Dhaka, Feb 7 (UNB) - Sabbir Ahmed, a 3rd year BA (Hons) student of the History Department emerged champion in the Annual Sports Competition of Surja Sen Hall of Dhaka University, held at the university’s central playground on Thursday.
Rashedul Hasan, a Master’s student of the Islamic Studies Department, finished runner-up in the day long competition.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad inaugurated the competition in the morning as chief guest while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the university Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad was the chief guest at the day’s closing function and, she distributed prizes among the winners
Provost of the Hall Prof. Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal, Advisor of Physical Education Centre Prof. Dr. M Ziaul Hoque Mamun, President of DU Athletics Committee Prof. Dr. Md. Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan, house tutors, students of the hall and officials were present on this occasion.
