The announcement was made by Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Speaker of the Parliament, as the chief guest.
Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, MP, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education graced the event as the Special Guest where Taimur Rahman, Acting CEO and Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer of Banglalink, Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer and other management members of the organisation were present.
Around 17,000 youngsters across the country participated in the competition.
The selection process had several steps to identify the most innovative minds. Following the selection process, the selected participants were given the opportunity to attend grooming sessions and learn from industry experts that helped them to enhance their skills.
The top 5 teams presented their digital ideas at the Grand Finale.
Team Silver Lining, the winning team, clinched the top spot presenting its digital idea on a real-time vehicle monitoring system. Team Last Minute and Team Three And A Half Men were announced as the first runner-up and the second runner-up respectively for their digital ideas on an integrated waste management system and a digital ecosystem for authenticating daily consumable products.
The winning team will be given an opportunity to visit Banglalink’s parent company Veon’s HQ in Amsterdam, and a direct entry to the “Assessment Center of the Strategic Assistant Program” of Banglalink. The first and the second runners-up will also get a direct entry to “Assessment Center of the Strategic Assistant Program” along with attractive prizes.
All the members of the top 5 teams will directly qualify for Banglalink’s “Advanced Internship Program (AIP)” and get opportunities to participate in Banglalink’s “Learn from Startups” and “Campus to Corporate Programs”.
