Google has officially announced the dates for its highly anticipated annual developer conference, I/O 2025.
The two-day event is set to take place from 20 to 21 May 2025, promising exciting insights into the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), Android, and other Google technologies.
According to Google’s announcement, the event will be open to everyone online and will feature livestreamed keynotes and sessions. Additionally, there will be an in-person component held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
Key Highlights and Schedule
The conference will commence with a keynote speech by Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST) on the first day. This will be followed by a developer keynote and a series of on-demand technical sessions. Notably, Google has revealed that it will be streaming developer product keynotes live from Shoreline across both days.

The spotlight of I/O 2025 is expected to be on AI innovations, particularly around Gemini, Google’s AI-powered suite of tools.
Additionally, there will be significant updates on Android 16. The upcoming operating system is speculated to introduce revamped volume controls, a sharper user interface, improved accessibility features, health records integration, adaptive refresh rates, and enhanced security and privacy measures.
